Reinstating SGIG

Today I have felt free to write here about the ongoing projecting that I started about three years ago. It was when I was in the high school with lots of dreams about the outside world. That time, I started a group called Students' General Improvement Group with help of my friends in the school. There were not that much of things that we could do during that period, being under a discipline.

SGIG was formed with a group of twenty two students in Tibetan Homes School during the year 2008. The principles of the group are based upon interdependence, universal responsibility and brotherhood. Tibetan Homes School is like every other Tibetan school, a home to thousands of young Tibetan kids who arrive from Tibet, most of them devoid of any supporting family. These students are taken care of by the foundation under the grace of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, providing a home away from home and education.

The group functioned in 4 different ways:

1.Helping with Language barrier -
There has been many students newly arriving from Tibet to our school and this posed a language barrier to those new students. We tried to help them breach that barrier by organizing English and Tibetan language classes by the senior students during the off-academic hours in our school. It was aimed at providing an additional guide to what the teachers teach them in their regular class.

2. Promotion of Awareness -
This part of activities included holding demonstrations and presentations during mass assemblies. The topics of discussion were chosen according to the trend and its need. For example, stress management during exam season, water borne diseases during monsoon, etc...

3. Writing and Reading habit -
We also organised essay competitions among the students announcing attractive cash prizes from our fund. This included both in English and Tibetan languages for all levels of students.

4. Environment Care -
As part of human responsibility, we also worked at cleaning the surroundings of our community during the weekends. This was aimed at providing an initiative responsibility among the locals towards environment. This provided an additional coverage to our environment upon the activities performed by our environment club.

This is the story of SGIG till now and we are planning at more impressive activities from here on.

A cry of the saints... a call for help...

Anguished out of no freedom, there are many forms of expressions coming out Tibetan people. Be it from the Tibetans inside Tibet or outside of it, there is a strong opposition coming out of them against the long brutal rule of the Chinese government over Tibet. The most peaceful human forms known to this world; the monks and the nuns inside and outside of Tibet all crying out of pain and restriction from their religious practices. Who can tame a desperate saint?

About sixteen live bodies of young Tibetan has been sacrificed to burn out for the welfare of the large population of Tibet and it seems to have affected too little for the very cause! This seems like the oppressors had been waiting for such desperate actions to take place and burn wear out whole population into smoke. This is very critical now. When the oppressor is not at all shaken by this sort of sacrifices, I hope the rest of the world won't wait for another set of such desperate acts to take place!
What more would you expect out of negotiation with them, when a peaceful parade in the streets is a target to be crushed with bullets and tanks to them! Is there going to be another holocaust in Asia? The whole public inside Tibet is restless with fear and restrictions. The common places in the streets are poured with more army than the civilians! Those who have taken part in the peaceful parades against the foreign rule are nowhere to be seen; some capture, some hiding in the mountains, some in the Monasteries and many more missing...
As claimed by the government that the monks, nuns and the civilians shouting out for human rights, freedom, religious rights peacefully are a threat to the public welfare and order inside Tibet, then how are their reactions with outnumbering armies spreading into the towns and cities open firing at the unarmed common people restoring any such public disorder?

Pain of losing any Tibetan life is felt in the hearts of every Tibetan around the world. There actions taking place inside Tibet are always being honored by the Tibetan refugees around the world. There are all kinds of possible  helps available are being sought by them to save the lives of Tibetan inside Tibet. There are religious ceremonies being held at all points of Tibetan hubs to pray for the well being of those giving their lives inside Tibet. There are all sorts of campaigns from the professionals to the students so as to bring the situation inside Tibet to the notice of the world. There are candle light vigils, protest demonstrations, public parades, cycle rallies, etc.

This is a cry of the saints and call for help to restore the peaceful existence of the saintly world Tibet...

Let's think about what you want to believe...

Ever since I was a child, I remember being afraid doing any harmful acts towards the other animals because I loved myself. This is how I believed I would be safe and secure from all the odd situations in life. Besides, I never knew whether god really existed or it was just a heavenly being without any phisical significance.
The most common resolution every common human being would assort to in times of adversity is to make a prayer for the god expecting a miracle from his side but nobody has ever told me of such miracle ever existing. Rather I have heard and seen many people losing the faith and belief in god after the hope they had in the heavenly grace of god showed no yield before them.
And to almost every common people I have ever known, they find a synonymous link between god and religion.
But with the course of time like the flowers of the hedges that keeps up with the pace of the changing season, my fear of causing harm to other animals is not the same as well as the look into the cause and effect in our life is perfectly independent. However I am always anxious about thinking it perfectly independent, so let me keep it to very independent.
As being a human, I have always tried to keep my consciousness towards all the happenings in my life and it is this consciousness that aborts me from causing any harm towards the others realising the same situation upon oneself. This is true to everyone and no body can ever bear the fact of such illness towards oneself!
Today it is not really important for me whether god is really there or not. The most important thing to be kept in mind is the purpose of this life; the purpose as a human being. Religion is what we believe the teaching of those heavenly beings that lived in the past. This religion is not just a sacred buch of books to be worshipped and kept as holy as not to be touched! Rather this is the guide to every single human to find the purpose of this life by studying and understanding what it teaches...
Not every sentient being achieves the opportunity to be born as a human being in such an auspicious juncture of time and fate like the grace of the 21st century. So it is most likely to best if you could find the purpose of your life and strive for it.

Yet another kalachakra... and it's the 36th time now...

I know a saying; 'Time and tide wait for none', and it comes out be something I really like today. The most famous and the most important religious activity of Tibetan buddhism presided by H. H. The Dalai Lama is happening again this season and it is the 32th time today. What I was wondering was that though from this 32 times, at least 6 times has been happening in my life time and yet I have failed to attend a single time! This is what ticked me with the saying I mentioned above. Though this time I had a great chance of being at the centre of the earth: Bodh-Gaya, the coincidence with my exam schedule held me back.

The Kalachakra has always meant differently to different people though it always meant to be a great opportunity. There is a large group Of people to whom this auspicious event also corresponds to a season of family reunion. Whether the reunion takes place for people from different parts of India or from Tibet or abroad, this has always been a great opportunity for such reunions.
Well there is also a group of people to whom the season of Kalachakra means a very good opportunity for commercial prowess. Be it for petty vendors selling fancy accessories or restrauners or any other business, this event, attracting whole bunch of people from across the world provides an unbeatable commercial success.
Not to forget, another group that is exceptionally blessed by this event of religious importance is the large numbers of beggars that haul at the site. They receive lots of grants from all kinds of people present at the event. During this period of religious activities, these beggars get the chance build a little more fat in their body with dishes heheh receive and survive for a good period with the money they collect from the event.
However, the most important group of the people and the majority of them attending the Kalachakra are the pious and faithful followers of H. H. The Dalai Lama which include most or the elderlies attend the event primarily to receive the blessings of His Holiness and pray for the world peace.

The role of Tibetan youth in our struggle for the freedom

Human rights, equality, justice, fraternity and so on come from basic understandings that come from education. My country Tibet is a very controversial issue today and I bear a huge lump of responsibility on this sensitive issue. It is a wide ranging propaganda today that the people’s liberation army of China has been fiddling with the human rights of us Tibetans pretending to be liberating the erstwhile Tibet. But I have been constantly disturbed by the very fact that the erstwhile Tibet was itself highly restrained in inequality and injustice in contrary to the state of independence. So, I have always founded a set of objects in my mind about the fate of Tibet that our purpose would not be only freeing Tibet from People Republic of China [PRC] but also to construct the basic human rights and democracy in a free Tibet.
The history of the world defines Tibet as a free nation but it has been annexed by the PRC claiming highly falsified evidences to the world at large. Despite the truth of our struggle, none of the other countries fully support in our pursuit. This is because of the gigantic role of china playing in the world of economy. So, our dream of restoring the free Tibet with force never had a base and it is impossible too. We all are aware of the very fact that our army in the erstwhile nation Tibet never had significance at the time of Chinese invasion. Besides, our belief is non-violence and preaching of peace. We are the follower of the lord Buddha shouldering the responsibility of blessing the 21st century community with Buddhism. And nonviolent and compassion is the most important teaching of Buddhism. Therefore, the mode of restoring the free Tibet with fore has never been an option for us. This year, we commemorated the 50th year of our existence in exile and it was really sensitive. Yet, I hear many people saying that 50 years is not too long for our struggle. It is actually the duration of life span of an individual. So, I had to debate within myself for why it was not a long period in our struggle. It could be a superficial declamation of an individual to keep the hope of our struggle alive or it could be imparting a great meaning too. I have felt that our leaders have said the above statement boldly because fact lied somewhere in our generation. The struggle for our country has to be inherited in succession for generations and it is only the youth; the growing population that would decide the fate of our struggle.
Over the last 50 years of our struggle, the strongest effort has been put in the field of providing education. The government of our struggle took form in the exile house to reflect the future state of our government. Our government in exile is based on democracy and it commits to form a training court of the growing Tibetans for the government of Tibet. So, it is quite clear that the youth have the responsibility to carry on this struggle of generation.
From another perspective upon myself being the youth of this Tibetan society in exile, I also have the responsibility to preserve the very identity of the Tibetans. Because Tibetans inside Tibet are tightly suppressed by the violent forces, they are not in a position to hold the purity of our identity. We know that the Chinese forces are imposed inside Tibet to demolish the constructions of our heritage and malfunction of  successive preservation of our culture and religion from generation to generation. I have often been sent into dismal by reports of thousands of common Chinese population into Tibet rendering Tibetans inferior ethics of the Chinese like alcoholics, prostitutes, and the pure line development of Tibetans inside Tibet is impossible. A greater proportion of the Tibetans inside Tibet exposed to these new faces are wasted by them. The Chinese policy of this type is bringing Tibetans addicted to the substance abuse are mostly laden with deadly infections. So, the main purpose is to destroy the very foundation population of Tibetans in Tibet. Being in exile, far away from suppressions, youth of a Tibetans in exile have the responsibility to retain the requirements of a Tibetan to produce the very population. Our accessibility to facts and justice should not be in rain rather it should be used to construct the marred structure of freedom inside Tibet. We are accessible to all the forms of studies and freedom and this should be used to raise richness in its own heritages as well as modern education. The struggle of a nation depends a lot on the enormity of the youth proportion of its population. It is the youth of a population that will take the course of struggle. In this course of the struggle, the population must be versed in its own cultural and traditional values so as to preserve the very identity. This very identity involves the nationalistic and the patriotic attributes of oneself too. On the other hand, our population must be efficiently good in the modern education so as to make this struggle in this modern world effective and binding. Convincing the modern face of the world must produce reliable evidence so is the necessity of the modern education inevitable in our population. Tibetans going to schools in Tibet are deprived of many rights. They are never provided the free access information as well as free thoughts. They are mould into Tibetans of different mindset and nurtured in ignorance. They are brainwashed and not builders of our freedom. The current population in our society exposed to very good traditional aspects lack the basic foundations of the modern education. Hence they cannot be regarded as the functional units of our struggle. What is left is the youth in exile, which is going to take the course of our struggle. Thus, where I fall is upon the conclusion that the youth of our population has the pivotal role in our struggle for the freedom and we can’t stay blind folded forever.

Embracing death and reality of life

Life seems unfair sometime. We are sometimes forced to face the situation even if we are not ready. So we have to learn from these. The lost of some one very important and close to your heart is unbearable. It shatters you completely. We don't want to spent any more days without them and we really can't.  It feels like why not me instead of them?
Sometime I wish instead of ageing humans should turn from old to child. But I know it is madness. Because if it is like this how can a grown human take birth from a mother's womb. Whatsoever, I like that Brad Pitt movie called 'The Curious case of Benjamin Buttons'. But even so, he also dies in the end.
How sad! But life also teaches us alot. Human are the most privileged creatures on this earth. There is a saying "every thing comes with a price so life and death needs to be in balance or else it would be chaos" ha ha...
There is a story in Buddha teaching that once upon time a women whose little boy died of a illness approached the lord buddha and requested him to save her child from dying. In response lord Buddha asked her to bring a single rice from a house where not a single family member ever died. The poor mother went in search of such a house  but in vain. Every house in that village had witnessed death. Some lost their grand parents while the other child. So she went back empty handed. When she told lord what had happened, Buddha consoled her by saying that  every living being in this  world had to die sooner or later one day.  Death is an unavoidable closure of life. Therefore we have to do lots of good deeds in place of bad in our lifetime and embrace the death in positive way. As a Buddhist we very much believe in karma. It takes a tons to born human. So we also have responsibilities. It is our responsibility to maintain this drowning world from unnecessary exploitation. Therefore every thing comes with a price. Our god gifted brain is not only for individual purpose like deceiving others for self benefit but to understand the situation of millions of helpless creatures, to represent them.  I here conclude my not so long and not so much sense making words by saying that we have the potential to make a better world. Only understanding and kindness works in critical situation. So be it...

Ambulance and the traffic...

There was traffic jam that caught in it's web and I was not able drive forward in despite the fact that I no longer wanted to be thriving in that hustle. It was the dusk of a tiresome day and all I long for was my bed!
May be the situation was trying to prove the theoretical statistics about Bangalore that it has the highest traffic density in the world. But I didn't see anyone interested in observing anything about any of such facts. There were only pales faces exhibiting their hunger and thirst after their long and tiresome day. So the traffic was an obvious form of issue to go wrong with the frustration fuming out of every head on the road.
For a more horrifying note I came across was that while waiting for that deep dark light to kindly chained into the lovely green, the siren of the rushing ambulance from the back of the long traffic screamed fiercely. May be it wanted a way made aside by the vehicles in front of it but it was something different. I was made fumbling by the chasing sound behind but most of the vehicles were trying to take advantage of the ambulance to escape themselves from the traffic. So it was a poor sight to see some generous drivers ahead freeing space for the needy emergency in vain.

FDI and India

FDI or Foreign Direct Investment is a process of inward or outward flow of economy from a nation with the formation of larger chains of international corporates available in the domestic market of the nation.

There is a very hot debate going on between the UPA and the opposition party of India since the UPA had tried to implement this current of FDI into India. The situation here comes out to be of more political than that of sincere concern that there is a huge controversy coming into picture regarding this issue. Hence there is also a huge wave of disagreement coming from primary production sector.

The well established MNCs such as the Wal-Mart and Tesco are seen almost in every corner of the world and it is running in a win-win situation wherever they are.

FDI is also about bring the foreign system of management and technology in the corporate world and there is a great hope that this kind of policy may directly improve the current system of management and technology ruining within the country. This is how There is going to be a cost cut from the products that the consumers buy as well as a higher pay for the producers they sell.

The government anyway how is the who is also going to gain in the process. Though this can be misread as a selfish policy from the production sector of the nation, there is a fact that cannot be ignored is that is bold step from the Union is completely a package to all the sectors of the country whatever the intention of the government may be...

Recession and its fury...

The current recession that started from the US and Europe has spread across the world and its fury is being experienced across the world. The effect of recession is being experienced almost in all the fields of industries with IT being the worst hit. This is not a physically visible phenomenon rather than a more complex change or down turn in the mechanism of the world economy. Every sector of business is being affected by this turn of economic crisis.
This is also being known as a technological crisis as the IT sector is the worst hit part of the economy. Though the nearest relation according to a student might the effect on the recruitment and placement opportunities, there is a deeper agony caused by this phase of wild crisis.
There are many employees from many multi-national companies who have been made to shift from full time job to half day jobs so as to be eligible for half salary from full salary; there are also long period of job where there are no increments, no incentives as well as not bonuses; the employees were kept under careful scrutiny so that any little point in their phase of doing the job found any mistake could be taken for reason to throw that out of the company!
This kind of global economic crisis started from 2009 and it is also being said as the biggest turmoil the world economy after the WWII. Though the situation has little improved from 2009 by now, this recession is still at its rage and wish it is going be fine after all.

Essence of Books

I am glad today at the existence of the most treasured wealth of the world called ‘BOOK’. It is the grace of this worldly wealth that polished my part if brain with the extraordinary ideals of the centuries old people. It is also because of this divine material called book that incinerates the blob of anxiety I carry upon the immortal nature of the existing resource personalities. I mean that though people with great minds would pass away invariably with the passage of time, their thoughts and ideals constituting the human soul that will last for the infinite time to come.
‘A good book is the precious life blood of a master spirit, embalmed and treasured up on purpose to a life beyond life’ is rightly said by John Milton as I feel. A person too much involved with books does not suffer from the boredom of loneliness because a book is actually more than a book. It is like a virtual conversation with a person full of wonderful word to say when you read a good book. Besides our appreciation to such a book, we land upon a desire to explore into it more than it is available there which is after all the formation of the purest essence of a human soul! Books are essentially the quietest and the most constant friend we can have; they are the easiest to be accessed and the best teachers.
Since very early stage of my life, I have been in the influence of books covering various fields of studies. But every time you reading same book, you come across a different conceptual understanding of the book. This proves the versatile nature of a book written in careful scrutiny and with high creativity. I should well put the instance of the world’s most famous series of fiction written by the simple lady of London, J.K. Rowling; The Harry Potter series was so well written that it created a sensational concept about the world of wizards across the seas. It left the world perceiving at the existence of such miraculous part of life. But I can’t harness my full confidence towards disbelieving at such kind of imaginations too because producing a book is not just a piece of cake! A book gets written with a writers’ acquired knowledge, his ideas, experience with a whole lot of intuitive analysis. Hence a book is more of a refined human soul than just being a block of papers!
I have always been a normal student of my school exceptionally too thirsty at literary quest and books have always been an integral part of my life. With my constant exposure to this field, I have dealt with the facts of it for the most part of my life. There is also a fact like saying that says that necessitates the need of reading of many books to becoming a man of knowledge and say.
Reading as many books as possible nurtures your ability to being a human being while at the same time it also gives you perfection at the strongest means of communication. In fact, it is one of the oldest means of communication, in addition to its spiritual, educational and cultural implications. Hence, the more you are acquainted with books, the more refined person you grow into.
Many people believe at the sense that a person can be judged by the book he reads. Through a book, one can receive the expected ideas and suggestions towards one’s way of living. They are the friend in disguise who comes into your life, furnish your soul with the desirable things that it has to give you and vanish like it never existed. It is all the same as an acquaintance of our life; we may come across any sort of friends like a mutual friend or a friend worth just a grin, after all it is oneself that takes the decision. Though I have once heard about the non-existence of bad books in contrary to the existence of ugly women. At the end, it is totally oneself who makes the decision to read which book even considering that the bad books existed.
I have an old relation with books in my life and I have been reading books I felt like reading. Among different types of books available, I am most attached to reading fictions made out of a little blend in the reality of our society. Hence, I could never deny of the fact that I appreciated the fictions by Charles Dickens especially ‘David Copperfield’ which is my all time favourite. It was so well written that it even covered a whole lot of my own emotions. Besides, I also can not miss to introduce the fictional book called ‘Room on the Roof’ by the seventeen year old Ruskin Bond that claimed some prestigious awards around the world. These books contained some substantial values that matched with reality and the ways perceived to be necessary. They directly attracted my soul.
When one gets too serious and too involved with the books, he really moulds into a different person with the valuable ideas of the writers in them. Because I have taken a little serious with writing and books of Ruskin Bond, I feel like I am copying his words whenever I write my own. May be it is a misconception but with books, I think we acquire many characters in addition to development in our writing skill alone.
Producing books have been an age old practice while its technology has been in change. People began writing on anything with invention of languages and it has been developing. Historical records, researches, thoughts, stories and even biographies of people constitute a book. Some people keep journals to keep the records of every day thoughts and circumstances while some people do with writing in the times of extreme emotions. Some people jot down the wonderful memoirs of the past with the suggestions of today. A great section of books also include results of researches, observations and conclusions of many groups of works. Thought and ideals of a certain instant of a person is unique and thus worthy. Hence I have a strong conviction that a book holds whole load of wonders and uniquely quality gems that could be used to adore the human mind. It is a necessary essence of the human soul that plays the pivotal role to mould and bloom to the full capability of its potential.

Smoke of Burning Tibet invisible?

The words of humble pleas and bows of sympathetic begging has turned their heads off now. The smell of a burning human body stimulated hopes of freedom and liberation.

But something was forgotten by all of us Tibetans. When the so called People's Liberation Army itself stole our liberation away, how could anyone for liberation from their hands. No matter how much you would plead, it doesn't matter how much you beg from them, it looks like they are having fun at the pain of others.

What else could anyone do then to burn oneself? This is not to smudge of the vision of the Chinese rather to alert the world that there is something really hot going on inside Tibet through the sight of the smoke and the smell of the burning live body.

There is nothing more to lose by losing the body when everything was there to lose is lost. This is not a warning against the Chinese, this is a warning against the whole world that if we didn't stand up for Tibet today, there is going to be hundreds of Tibet tomorrow. The smoke of ten burning human bodies is obviously difficult to clear out.

The Dalai Lama on hunger fast as Tibetans worldwide lead solidarity campaigns

DHARAMSHALA, October 19: In one of the strongest political statements since the transfer of his political power, Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama today joined a call for a day-long hunger fast and prayer service by the Kashag (cabinet).

The Dalai Lama, along with Gyalwng Karmapa and Kirti Rinpoche led an elaborate prayer service at Tsug-la Khang, the main temple in Dharamshala in solidarity with “Tibetans who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Tibet and particularly those who self-immolated, their families and those suffering repression in Tibet”.

Monks and nuns, school students, local Tibetans and supporters, and the entire staff of the Central Tibetan Administration led by Kalon Tripa Dr Lobsang Sangay were in attendance.

Speaking at the start of the special prayer service, Dr Sangay blamed China’s “hard line position” in Tibet over the “last sixty years of Communist China’s occupation” for pushing “Tibetans to a desperate situation”.

“Through its propaganda Beijing shows a different image, but in reality China practices colonialism and systematic destruction of the unique Tibetan culture, religion, language and environment because of which Tibetans have peacefully demonstrated time and again,” Dr Sangay said.

Since March this year, nine Tibetans have self-immolated in Tibet, protesting China’s continued occupation of Tibet and demanding the return of the Dalai Lama from exile.

Lobsang Phuntsok (20), Tsewang Norbu (29), Khaying (18), Choephel (19), and Tenzin Wangmo (20) have all succumbed to their injuries, while there is no information on the well being and whereabouts of Lobsang Kelsang (18), Lobsang Kunchok (19), Kelsang Wangchuk (17), and Norbu Damdul (19).

“We pay homage to their courage and stand in solidarity with their indomitable spirit,” said Dr Sangay while requesting “every Tibetan and Tibetan supporters to carry out activities peacefully and in accordance with the local law”.

Reiterating the Kashag’s appeal to the Chinese government to “immediately stop its repressive policies in Tibet”, Dr Sangay urged for an early resolution of the Tibetan issue through “peaceful means”.

“We would like to appeal to the United Nations to send fact-finding delegations into Tibet. We would also like to request to allow free access to the media so that the international community could know the real situation.”

Kalon Tripa is scheduled to leave for New Delhi later today to meet Indian leaders and take part in the ongoing three-day global Tibetan Solidarity Movement.

The 2011 Nobel Peace Prize shared by three women...

Last Friday, the most prestigious award of the world was declared in Oslo, Norway and amazingly, the Nobel Peace prize for the year 2011 is shared by three women. This is a very encouraging moment as well as inspiring models with a bunch three women coming forward on the world stage. Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, is a 72 year old Havard alumnus, Liberian activist Leymah Gbowee and Tawakkul Karman of Yemen were the three winners of the prize. This is an indication of the importance of the role of women in the development and practice of peace and democracy across the world and this award was more importantly given to encourage their struggle on women's rights.

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is the first democratically elected women president of Liberia and more importantly, she is known as reformer or a revolutionary leader working for the establishment of peace and order in the country since many years.

Leymah Gbowee is also a Liberian activist who worked as a leader in organizing a group of Christian and Muslim women to confront the warlords of the country. She is well known for executing the role of women in the maintenance of peace and order in the world and she holds many awards and honours for her achievements.

Tawakkul Karman is a Yemen citizen and a mother of two, a leader of group formed by a bunch of jounalists in Yemen and an activst for women's right and democracy.

Dalai Lama Poster hung inside Tibet!

A large portrait of His Holiness the Dalai Lama along with a large Tibetan national flag hung on out for public display in Serthar County in Kartze, eastern part of Tibet. This event took place inside Tibet under extreme pressure from the large number army of People's Republic of China on 1st October, 2011. The day is usually observed as the foundation day of the PRC. This year, it was being celebrated as the 62nd anniversary of the PRC. However, more than 200 Tibetans in the area where the portrait and the flag was hung carried out protests and demonstrations against the violent control and invasion carried out by the Chinese over Tibet. People in the protest shouted out for the return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet as well as for a Free Tibet.

Watchman who donated 1lakh Rupees

Today, I have a very interesting news to share with my readers that I came to know through the Times of India news paper. Yellappa Kalasannanavar is a 43 year old bachelor who works as a watchman as well as a cleaner of a Kannada-Medium government school in a village called Gamangatti in the state of Karnataka, India. This person has been in association with the school since last 25 years and he says that the school and its children is his home thus he also said that he has a very special bond with the institute.

Yellappa is a generous and dedicated person who has a special sense of responsibility toward his duties. He has been unsatisfied with the improvements he has seen with the school he worked for and he was specially concerned with the poor resource availed for the students of such schools. In the mid of September this year, he donated a sum of one lakh rupees; which constituted the 50% of all his savings, to the school and wanted the poor students to benefit with his donation.
He was acknowledged of his virtuous deed from the people of the village and specially from the members of the school. The management did felicitate him for the generous act and the principal of the school said that Yellappa has set an example of generosity and he said that they are going to use the donated fund to provide notebooks for the students.

This news is such an inspiring one that it originally came to notice from the news paper to my friend Lhamo Tashi and later came into my notice under his suggestion. Though my friend was also very much interested in sharing this story with the readers of TJ, he requested me to share here as he was running through a tight schedule with large number of exams lined up in by his nose tips. Hope everybody has got inspired going through this story and my humblest request is just to pay Mr. Yellappa your little word of appreciations and good luck.

He was only 56 and had been fighting for a long time against this illness. Parking crisis in Bangalore and New Delhi goes global

There was a recent news paper report saying that the parking crisis in India goes highly global. The technological giant IBM has carried out a recent research about the parking crisis occurring around the and they have done it based in twenty promising cities across the world. Among the twenty cities, two cities come from India, i.e., New Delhi and Bengaluru. The worst part was that the two worst cities according to the pain of parking suffered by the commuters were the only Indian cities.
Though India is one of the most populous country in the world, it is also seen that the main reason for the cause of such parking crisis did not come from that. One of the main reasons for the cause of such parking crisis in Delhi and Bangalore was the rude manner of the people on the roads seeking parking spaces. The sans of common sense as well as civil responsibility and short temper lead to high tension in the commercial as well as official hot spots in these cities. At least 90% of the total commuters on these roads get into some quarrels every once in a year trying to find a parking space.
We all know that India is one of the most important states of the world in all terms. It is also seen that the future of India lies beyond the role that the US is playing today but with such poor scene of people's behaviour, it is hard to imagine a fast growing India. There are many dreams, predictions as well as calculations upon the Indian state by the next decade. However, there are such issues of public irresponsibility that is dragging the nation back.

The 15th Dalai Lama

The reincarnation power of a lama is a fruit of a long and an extensive hard work of the particular individual. It is the same case with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He has taken reincarnation of a Tibetan Buddhist monk as a result of his long time prayers and the faith bestowed by the fellow Tibetans from many aeons of ages. His reincarnation system solely depends upon the will of Buddha himself, the need felt and the faith his followers bestow upon him.
Today, the will be reincarnate of the 14th the Dalai Lama is being designed by the Chinese government by forming new system of rules and regulations. They are starting to hamper the absolute individual right of Tibetan Tulkus and Lamas by making the search and appointment process of their reincarnates mandatory to go under the order of the Chinese government. This sort discipline from the side of the Chinese government comes out as a result of the respect and preservation of traditional and cultural norms followed by Tibetans, according to the Chinese.

The World is not enough!

It is none the less listlessly bustling in all the cities I have gone and that confirmed my conviction that people are not aware of the single days they live with. Each day is a replication of the previous days as if there isn’t any new day with a new beginning! Officials remain engrossed in their offices, labourers keep taking rounds, sales people keep babbling in the shops and the rest keep pouring to their offers. Sometimes I turn myself blank amidst all those rush and commotion, losing the idea who I was and go through a difficult feeling. Because humanity is not about just making a living, it is futile to see wide gaps between every individual. I believe every single man should be a friend of everybody and there should be no difference in treatment of anyone. Love is something that can not be illustrated and being loved is very overwhelming. May be it is the ill effect of being loved that I can not stand any harsh reaction even from a stranger. Then I make a wish for a complete silence on this hectic world in which minute every individual would fall at ease. This minute would be the moment where no one is struck in the strain of meeting their greed. Because in such a state, I believe in the reflection of pure human character by everybody and there would be peace. I have an intuition telling the growth of affection among everyone when we would stand in such a state of composure. Thus I hope for a better world, where our mouth speaks not but our heart and we realize of the way we live our life. When we groom this basic affection among us, we lead the world to a deck of peace, respect and love. Hence we forget the self, its needs and the greed. After all, happiness is perpetual to such a paradox of any age.

Living in India

I am not an Indian by citizen but I have a royal love for this country. I am a Tibetan by nationality but an Indian by locality. I have stepped upon this foreign land as an innocent child of about eight years old before a decade. Now, I have grown up to be an adult human who no longer feels this land as a foreign earth. And I also have a vision of a developed India. I wish to see a proud India along the other giants because I have a love for this great nation to a great extend. But I am badly disheartened when we are also slackened by the internal riots at this critical stage of progression. The barbaric attacks and bomb blasts in various parts of India like Mumbai is very disturbing! But, I am delighted to remind along this solidarity that the vision of a developed India is confirmed! India is not such a sleek nation that could be demolished by such an inane deed! I am highly accommodated to flush my ever wanting accusations to the terror generators in this country at this state. They are highly brainwashed and we need to confront this kind of inhuman acts. United we must be able to remain for everyone wishes to fall divided.
India was never a such country that could be alienated from this world. Indians are spread throughout the world and they play unalienable parts. There is no any sphere of the earth where Indians are unwanted! From the science and technological field to the literature to the sports and entertainment, Indians are included and their roles are upgrading. And I anticipate that a time would come where India shall be a super power! There are industrialist from India standing tall at the international platforms. There are artists from India getting honoured at the international nominations. Hence, India is not a petty colony!
But I have always occurred in me a sense upon why this country is lagging its development. I have noticed in my everyday lives among the Indians a shortage of people ready to shoulder public responsibilities. I mean there is very little sense of respecting and caring others. Though, what I have noticed may be wrong but I am writing this with a reason. I have to go to the roads everyday and I suffer a lot getting jammed in the traffics. With these years I have seen that there is no any problem with the shortage of the road construction but a problem with the way people utilize this facility. The everyday traffics are any upheavals with the shortage or poor constructions of the roads but due to improper behaviour of driving! I have always noticed a full rush in the eyes of the drivers of every cars and they condemn to allow any passers before them! Everyone moves in a mode of scrambling for something. They blow their horns in no sense. When each car and each bike move in their own way, an inaccessible traffic gets jammed and every curse themselves by wasting the time and energy in sorting out of the avoidable traffic.
